Abstract :
A prototype of a highly granular SiW electromagnetic calorimeter composed of 6480 cells contained in a volume of 18Ã18Ã30 cm3 was installed and tested in 2006 at CERN by the CALICE collaboration. The analysis focuses on the resolution of the calorimeter to electromagnetic showers. The energy resolution was found to be 16.6 ± 0.1/ ¿(E(GeV)) ¿ 1.1 ± 0.1(%) while the linearity was better than 1%. The analysis on embedded electronics showed no sign of signal induced by the shower.
