Abstract :
A novel compact slot patch antenna loaded with a pair of spirals on thin substrate is introduced, which is 66% smaller than the conventional half-wave patch antenna. The effects of four parallel slots on surface current distribution and loading spirals on impedance matching are all investigated theoretically respectively. Good agreement between the theoretical and experimental results is obtained. The measured return loss curve and radiation patterns are all presented.
