  • Abstract
Objective To know the status of organic pollution in Urumqi surface water and treated water. Methods In early August 2009, 20L water were collected from the three main water plants respectively in Urumqi. According to the mass spectrums and the NIST library researching, organic compounds were identified. The relative quantities of the organic compounds were calculated by the area of peaks of the organic compounds. Conclusion 39 varieties of 8 categories water organisms were detected in the surface water and the treated water. Alkanes, esters, carboxylic acids, aromatic compounds were detected. The quantities of carboxylic organic compounds were detected in the largest.
