Abstract
The aim of this paper is to simulate the behavior of the MIMO channel under bad urban and rural environments for a (4×2) MIMO multipath fading channel. The fading envelops for different paths were observed and analyzed after manipulating certain parameters such as: changing the symbol rate, doppler shift, and antenna elements´ spacing within Tx and Rx sides of the MIMO system. The results shows that the channel behavior becomes more stable when increasing the symbol rate and antennas spacing, and when reducing the Doppler shift.
