Abstract :
We have developed a new algorithm to reconstruct epicardial potentials from body surface Laplacian maps (BSLMs) in a volume conductor with arbitrary shape. Computer simulation was conducted to evaluate the numerical accuracy of the epicardial potential inverse solutions reconstructed from BSLMs in a realistically shaped heart-torso model. Our simulation results indicate the feasibility of solving the epicardial potential inverse problem from BSLMs in an arbitrarily shaped volume conductor
