Abstract
In 1992 David Donoho has introduced the term denoising in connection with the adaptive nonlinear filtering in the discrete wavelets transform domain. Despite it´s advantages this method has not been extensively used yet in the telecommunications field. The aim of this paper is to clarify some aspects of this method from the engineer´s point of view, to improve it and to apply it in telecommunications
