Abstract :
This paper presents an on-line dead-time compensation method for inverter fed permanent magnet synchronous motor drives. The dead-time compensation voltage is adaptively adjusted by identifying the dead-time compensation time. The dead-time compensation time can be identified on-line with using the disturbance observer. Comparison between the commanded and actual voltages demonstrates the validity of the proposed method.
