Abstract :
This paper addresses the conversion effects of non-ATM to ATM services on the generated ATM traffic features. Frame relay-ATM interworking, circuit emulation service (CES) and LAN interconnection over an ATM backbone, have been investigated. The determination of ATM traffic descriptors after the conversion is presented, as well as setting of the generic cell rate algorithm (GCRA) policing parameters
