As the Cu2+ in EDTA-Cu wastewater has too high concentration to remove with general method and is in a complex state, and its handling is the difficult part in environmental engineering, we try to use synchronous Oxidation Treatment in EDTA-Cu wastewater with high ferrite salt and have achieved good results. Preparation of Na2FeO4 as an oxidant on the spot can not only solve the problem of high cost, but simplify the process of disposal. Measured by the removal rates of Cu2+ as criteria, the effect of three important factors are studied, including ph, dosage and reaction time, then corresponding optimal parameters can be acquired by the orthogonal test. The results show that the removal rate of Cu2+ can be up to 99.1% in such experimental conditions that pH=14, reaction time = 30min and dosage = 300mg/L, and the concentration of Cu2+ is less than 0.49mg/L in the treated wastewater, which also meets the national discharge standards of class I.
