  • Abstract
In power systems, superconducting fault current limiters (SFCL) emerge as an alternative to limit the prospective short circuit currents to lower levels. The purpose of this paper is to study the influence of using superconducting devices on the transient stability of the synchronic operation and power quality. Different SFCL design and local of installation are also analyzed. Simulation studies are performed using one-machine connected to an infinite bus by two parallel lines.
