Abstract
In this paper importance of control system for an entertainment industry has been shown. Application of instruments for show control and movie control has been discussed. Earlier and modern automation systems have been studied, reviewed and analyzed. Interactions between controller, equipments and supporting instruments using standard buses produce amazing audio visual effects. Safety and other prime design considerations have been revealed. Case study on PC control by Beckhoff with Flying by Foy has been discussed in detail. Study tells that advent of PC based control leads shows and movies full of astound effects. Cost reduction, simplification of complex system and extreme fast control strategy has also been discussed.
