Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

A pulsed discharge water treatment reactor was developed. The various factors that affect the degradation efficiency of organic pollutants in water were investigated and the overall configuration of the reactor was optimized. Experimental results show that the degradation efficiency of pollutants increases as the needle electrode diameter and electrode gap decreases, while the degradation efficiency increases with more needles. The optimal distance between the needles increases with the number of needles. Higher air flow rate redound to degradation and there exists an economical value. Elevation of input voltage and pulse frequency is advantageous for the degradation process. The use of 40-mesh stainless steel ground electrode can enhance discharge efficiency and, the arrangement of mesh barriers in pretreated solution can also boost energy efficiency.
