Abstract :
The thermoelectric properties of the compounds YM10Sb and ScM10Sb (M10: Ni, Pd, Pt) were investigated. The values of the figure of merit ZT at room temperature were found: 0.0039 for YNiSb, 0.0706 for YPtSb, 0.024 for ScNiSb, 0.054 for ScPdSb and 0.009 for ScPtSb and 0.0124 for YPdSb at 360 K. YPtSb and ScPdSb showed the best features for thermoelectrical application. From the extrapolation up to 400 K the dimensionless figure of merit reaches values of 0.141 and 0.100 respectively.
