Application of activated carbon fiber (ACF) was investigated in a pulsed discharge reactor. Experimental results show that the combined treatment of pulsed discharge and ACF has a synergetic effect. The synergetic effect may be due to the catalysis of ACF rather than simply due to their adsorption. The regeneration of ACF could be synchronously achieved in this process. The conversion of methyl orange was improved and the regeneration efficiency of ACF was also increased when H2O2 was introduced into the system.
