A study of color description and cognition

Color is used as one of the most important factors that drive and direct people´s daily lives. Different colors represent different color cognition or perception. Literature review showed that a domestic color cognition study for Taiwan citizens is needed Firstly, the study conducted a literature view and a focused group to generate a comprehensive set of color descriptions, 26 color cognition adjectives. Meanwhile, the technology of ´color management´, to remain color fidelity, and the color model of ´web color´, to have appropriate color variations, was adopted in the color description and cognition survey. Finally, an in-depth statistical and graphical analysis regarding to every color description was finished.
