Abstract :
Healthcare information technology (HIT) has been a promising tool to improve quality and safety of healthcare. Hospitals and institutions implied health information technology (HIT) to make the workflow more fluent, quality of healthcare better and the process of healthcare much safer. Changes are making in many aspects such as care, organizations collaborating, treatment of illnesses, nursing home management, medication management and safety controlling to establish patient satisfaction. This review paper divided these findings into two parts, HIT impact on healthcare quality and safety. More well-designed research studies are needed in order to get a better understanding of this domain and accordingly find new opportunities to improve quality and safety of healthcare.
