Abstract :
This paper explores and evaluates an IP Address geomapping technique, which provides the mapping between a given IP address and its physical geographical location. After analyzing and comparing the related works and techniques, the most popular IP Address geomapping data-base in China is focused on. By a sampling survey, the accuracy of the data-base is evaluated with statistics. With the conclusion, the technique is reliable enough to be used in studying on the distribution property of P2P network flows and the location-aware network architecture.
