Abstract :
The use of stereovision systems in space robotics applications is currently investigated within the frame of the European Space Programs. Both in deep-space and in-orbit missions the autonomy and the quality of servicing/scientific tasks of space robotic systems would be improved by active/passive three-dimensional vision. Tecnospazio is participating to the related design activities, by developing a test bed where an industrial robot is guided by a passive stereovision system within a simulated in-orbit servicing workcell.<>
