Abstract :
There are various types of method applied for allocating reactive power usage charge among generators and loads, and the most frequent techniques are transaction based charge allocation, sensitivity analysis and reactive power tracing. Studies have revealed that application of power tracing in reactive power market has reflected an acceptable economic signal and in virtue of that, this paper proposes reactive power tracing via Evolutionary Programming (EP) with simple formulation steps regardless on matrix singularity and any assumptions. Validation of the developed algorithm has been performed on IEEE 30-bus RTS and the results revealed that the proposed method was able to be a sophisticated tool for non-discriminatory charge allocation.
