  • Abstract
A dual smooth TCP congestion control algorithm based on AIMD (SAISD) is presented. SAISD uses a decreasing function as the incremental in the speed of sending, and when the congestion is detected, the current sending rate is changed smoothly referred the historical value of cwnd, thus the oscillatory of sending speed is improved. The simulation results show that when the UDP and TCP co-exist, SAISD provides a smooth services for UDP, and it has good fairness and stability, meanwhile it can improve the utilization of bandwidth.
