Abstract
We present an optimized implementation of PET 3D iterative reconstruction algorithm for the Cell broadband engine (Cell BE) processor. We describe some of the techniques to achieve high performance on the Cell BE processor. Finally, we report measured reconstruction performance for time-of-flight (TOF), conventional static and gated studies using the Cell BE processor in the GE Discovery 600-series PET-CT scanner.
