Abstract
To help align military power supply systems requirements with commercial resources, a Power Supply System Consortium was formed early in 1998, by the government and several defense contractors. The need to align was acknowledged by both the government and by the contractors. The technical challenges in military use of commercial resources, the accomplishments of the consortium, as well as the methods employed to facilitate the realization of this alignment are presented
