Abstract :
This paper explores the enigmatic economics of the power supply industry with particular focus on understanding the determinants of power supply demand. A framework is proposed for analyzing, understanding and predicting the volatile demand characteristics of this industry. The paper examines the creation of demand in the end-user markets and how price, competition, inventory and capacity impact demand equilibrium
