Abstract :
CdTe/PbTe superlattice films are promising materials to serve as the absorber layer of solar cells. The aim of this study was to fabricate CdTe/PbTe superlattice films on Indium Tin Oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrates using Electrochemical Atomic Layer Deposition (EC-ALD). Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and current monitoring helped us obtain appropriate deposition potentials. The chemical composition of the films was determined by Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS). We were able to successfully deposit stoichiometric films of CdTe and PbTe. CdTe/PbTe superlattices were also successfully grown on ITO-coated glass substrates.
