This paper analyzes data of PM₁₀ concentration and death toll from cancer in Nanning, China, and reveals that the monthly death toll from cancer has statistically significant correlation with the monthly PM₁₀ concentration, and the daily death toll from cancer has statistically significant correlation with the PM₁₀ concentration of lead-time. The death toll from cancer has less obvious correlation with the PM₁₀ concentration in spring than those in summer and autumn. The results of this paper suggest that some causal relationship between air pollution and cancer is possible.
