Based on the monitoring data of air quality, pollutant concentration of PM2.5, SO2, NOx, O3 and respiratory disease cases in out-patient department from Chao-Yang hospital in Beijing, the change trends of air quality and the quantity of respiratory cases were figured out. The results showed: The API in phrase 3 was 49.2, it was lower than the value of the corresponding period of 2006 and it was lowest of the five phrases of 2008. Also the concentration in phrase 3 and 4 were equal to 54.2% and 73.5% of corresponding period of 2006. And the concentration of SO2 was decreasing evidently, the value in phrase 1 was one half of phrase 2, the value of phrase 2 and 3 were almost same, they were equal to 23% of baseline and 46% of phrase 1. As same as API, The concentration of NOx in phrase 3 was lowest, and it´s highest in phrase 4. For the pollutant of Os, the effect was not much. According to the respiratory disease case in out-patient department from Chao-Yang hospital in Beijing, in general, the trends of respiratory disease in both 2006 and 2008 were same. The quantity of case in phrase 3 was higher than other phrase, but it was accord with the month change rule of respiratory disease. Compared with the corresponding period of 2006, the quantities of cases in all the four phrases was decreasing, especially the cases in the period of the Olympic Games was decreasing evidently. And it was equal to 69.7% of corresponding period of 2006.
