Abstract
Nanocomposites of CuCl/SiO2 have been prepared by the hydrolysis and polymerization of complex metal alkoxide. The influence of various factor on hydrolysis-polymerization condition has been investigated, rapid gelling process has been developed. Structural changes in the gels are analyzed, the grain size can be calculated from Scherrer equation. The third order nonlinear susceptibility of the samples are measured by degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM)
