  • Abstract
This paper presents a high power three-level inverter equipped with integrated gate-commutated thyristor (IGCT) devices. The power system consisting of a twelve-pulse rectifier and a three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) inverter. A TMSF240 DSP controller is used for filled with PWM strategy. A valid PWM control strategy is proposed which can improve the performance of inverter operating in low switching frequency. Due to the three-level configuration and the valid PWM control method the output harmonic is improved. The experimental of single IGCT device and three phase system demonstrated that both the power circuit and control system are designed reasonable and valid. The implementation inverter can be widely used in adjustable drive system (ADS)
