Abstract :
Product customization has been recognized as an effective means to implement mass customization. The axiomatic principles of product function-structural model are proposed for diverse design domain levels of axiomatic design. The process of product configuration is categorized into first class of product module quasi configuration and second class of accessory structure similar configuration. In the condition of the parts configuration restriction, according to the product structure levels, the different configuration unit combination instance is selected. The isomeric knowledge description method based on XML and semantic rules is given, and the isomeric knowledge transformation technology based on ontology is described. Based on that, the CAD/PDM integrated platform which supports multi-domain knowledge application is put forward. Furthermore, the product axiomatic design and configuration integration method has been successfully applied in the design of some projects and achieves positive responses in its utility, flexibility and robustness
