Abstract :
Alfalfa with moisture content 17% is compressed on a modified 9KG-350 Baler. Stress relation experiments are conducted in different cross section of baling room, namely width and height of 360mm×460 mm, 385 mm ×460 mm, 410 mm×460 mm, 460 mm ×460 mm, 510 mm ×460 mm as well. Mechanical constitutive equation of alfalfa material in each baling area is obtained with stress relation data, the generalized Maxwell model constituted of 3 parallel Maxwell elements proved effectively describe the rheological behaviour of baled alfalfa wafer. It provides a deeper view to understand physical characteristic of bale´s deformation and some helpful reference in designing balers.
