  • Abstract
    In the present work developed X-ray digital portable scanner operating in "quantum" imaging mode with improved dynamic range in contrast of the observed X-ray images is demonstrated Detection unit is based on semi-insulating GaAs strip line detectors with pitch 0.25 mm and absorption length of strip 1.25 mm with detection efficiency over 60 % for detection of 60 keV photons at a bias of 200 V Readout electronics consists of 480 channels dc coupled with detectors. Scanned area has dimensions 12x15 cm2. Collected data are used for creation of X-ray "quantum" images of selected test objects using the developed imaging software.
