A novel preparation method of nutrient composite-soil by using bio gas dreg residue as raw material was provided. For the conservation of water and soil, starch grafting acrylic acid was used as superabsorbent polymer (SAP), and added in the composite-soil. The characteristics and properties of the prepared composite-soil added with SAP were systematically investigated. With the addition of SAP, the bulk density and porosity of the composite-soil were increased, and the water evaporation efficiency was reduced. The results indicate that the water content of the composite-soil was increased by 1.92% 3.05%, and soil loss was decreased by an average of 60.49 g/m2. The pH value of the composite-soil was not affected by the addition of SAP.
