Abstract
Traditional measurement devices, such as network and spectrum analyzers, require a relatively “clean” narrowband signal to evaluate signal characteristics. A unique distributed RF analyzer incorporates stochastic processing which allows it to evaluate signal characteristics in a noisy environment. Because of this added capability, this analyzer, known as CASSPER, can also be used to identify a single source of noise from among many potential noise sources. This saves enormous engineering time during the mitigation stage at the board, box or system level
