Abstract :
Accurate Ship deformation message is needed during ship launching weapons´ transfer alignment. This paper present an estimation method for large ship deformation based on finite element analysis and strip method. Each strip´s hydrodynamic pressure on ship hull surface is calculated first. According to strip method each strip is connected to a finite element model node, so strips and nodes have the same direction vector, and through direction vector the hydrodynamic pressure can be translated into wave loads in three directions. Ship deformations can be estimated while wave loads are given to finite element model nodes.
