Abstract
Unable to solve many complex EMC problems using numerical modelling techniques, companies usually have to rely on various testing methods for checking the compliance of their products at the end of their development. However the benefits to be gained by predicting their product´s performance earlier in its development would be very great and hence they are constantly looking to develop such an approach. Instead of making significant assumptions about a product´s design, like traditional numerical modelling techniques, a method which utilises real design data to produce EMC predictions is presented. Combining a statistical method and transmission line theory, the motor vehicle is chosen as the platform to assess its feasibility
