Abstract :
The paper is devoted to the theoretical study of the optical coupling by whispering gallery modes (WGM) in a double-cavity photonic molecule (PM) and the sensitivity of such coupling to the time material variation of individual resonator. A semi-analytical solution is obtained for the case of instantaneous change of dielectric permittivity. The possibility of frequency shifting is demonstrated.
