  • Abstract
    We present experimental and theoretical investigation of the pulse self compression under femtosecond pulse filamentation in argon cell. It is shown that beam focal length increase and pressure in the cell decrease lead to the better pulse self-compression. Experimental and theoretical results are in good qualitative agreement.
