Abstract :
In LTE networks, self-organizing and self-management become more and more important. So 3GPP defined SON (Self Organizing Networks) in the standards. On the other hand, P2P (Peer to Peer) technologies improved in self-organizing and self management areas for a long period. Many classic and useful algorithms generated for various applications. What kind of P2P technologies can be used for LTE SON, and how to use them? We will give some basic ideas about the questions in the paper, which is useful for further study. Firstly, we list the requirements of LTE SON and P2P related technologies and features; and then study the possible uses of P2P technologies for LTE SON on architecture, search algorithm, topology aware and load balancing aspects; finally, we give a prospective outlook on future LTE networks.
