Abstract :
Real-time fluid simulation is very significant aspect in games and movies, the realistic plays a key role in virtual reality. It´s a difficult in computer graphic because of the complexity of fluid natural attribution. Many researchers have developed a lot of advanced methods, however, we still need to balance the realistic and real-time requirements. In the paper, first we give a new representation of the ocean grid including the average position, average normal and BRDF, then present an algorithm of ocean surface lighting. We introduce an approximate BRDF model using the grid elements with which to compute the reflected Sun light, reflected sky light, refracted water light, and synthesis the three lights to get the final result. The algorithm runs in real-time and produces the complex light effect as the Sun rises up.
