Abstract :
An allpass filter is a lower power and complexity alternative to a FIR forward equalizer which is normally implemented with decision feedback equalization. Theoretical bases for analyzing the convergence properties of the second order allpass filter are presented. The sensitivity to the changes of external parameters is studied and convergence regions are derived.
