Abstract :
As a kind of high efficient equipment of waster treatment, Up-flow Anaerobic sludge Blanket(UASB)has many advantages, such as effluent quality, steady operation, broad application on treatment high concentration organic wasters. Due to the high COD consistency of the wastewater from starch production, the expense of the treatment are always very high. The paper started with the advantages of Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Bed(UASB), the feasible of generating marsh gas from UASB was analyzed and the utilization condition and use of marsh gas were discussed. At last, it pointed that the UASB could be used comprehensively to treat high organic sewage. The results of the treatment´s running shows that the treatment of wastewater from starch production by UASB possess the high COD removal rate and it is a low cost and feasible process. It proved that the treatment process can be widely occupied in the treatment of vastewater from the industry of bio-chemistry. It will bring great economical, social and environmental benefit.
