Abstract :
Static target recognition in a complex background (STRCB) is a very difficult problem. Although we have applied a neural network to our target recognition system and have previously improved system´s target recognition ability to some degree, the applied neural network and the target decision method were still simple. A new target recognition method for STRCB which has greatly improved the system´s target recognition accuracy is introduced in this paper. It includes a compound neural network and three fuzzy decision criteria. The configuration of the system and that of the neural network are proposed in this paper. The results of a simulation experiment are presented as well
