Abstract :
Among various industries, there are so many kinds of product structure and also many ways of manufacture, it is hard to give a universal standard for BOM, so that it is important to give a deep study into this field. Based on the research into the structure as well as the production way of BOM, the study puts forward one coding principle, which combines the product structure with serial number of list. And based on this principle foundation, one kind of automatic creation method of BOM, is designed, realizing massive information obtaining the spare parts and the automatic creation of BOM, providing important data for the PDM system. And the study offers a way of making BOM codes in which it not only make the relationship between the layers and paternity more apparent, but also improve the veracity and practicability greatly. It becomes convenient to check out the information of product parts. Useful information of ActiveX is also provided in the study, ActiveX Automation, a sort of opening standard established by Microsoft, which makes a bridge between application and outsides.
