Abstract :
Two series of experiments have been conducted to study Lake Ladoga thermohydrophysics. The first, using Almaz SAR imagery (1991-1992), and the second using ERS-1 SAR imagery (1993-1994). To support SAR imagery analysis NOAA AVHRR data and contact measurements have been also collected. The present report summarizes the first results of the experiments, presents a recent analysis of SAR image signatures and experimental evidence of internal waves generation in Lake Ladoga
