Abstract :
In this paper, the design of a pulse power for electrical discharge machining (EDM) based on the direct digital synthesize (DDS) chip-AD9851 is introduced. The pulse power is obtained through the control of the single-chip microprocessor (SCM), DDS chip and the on and off of field effect transistor (FET) controlled by high-frequency signals generated by the controlled circuit. Due to the width and spacing of the pulse signals can be adjusted, the accuracy and the reliability of EDM are improved greatly.
