Abstract :
In the present paper, the authors propose as an alternative to analog circuits, a numerical method based on an adaptive digital filter to detect each resistive pulse caused by the passage of individual red blood cells (RBC) through an oligopore filter. The cell transit analyser (CTA) was used. Application of the method shows that: 1. Baseline time variations of the signal are removed and 2. The signal to noise ratio (SNR) is increased. The method is well adapted to extract other pulse features to characterize red cells in term of their deformability
