Abstract :
According to the energy research and development (R&D) expenditure data of large and middle sized enterprises and research institutions in different energy industries and regions, the statistical methodology is used on the basis of entropy theory to analyze the industry entropy, province entropy and region entropy of energy R&D expenditure in the years 2003-2006 in China. It is found that the entropy value of industry dimension experiences the course of "drop-drop-rise". Generally speaking, the course is quite stable and slightly fluctuated. The province entropy value of the R&D expenditure is close to the theoretical maximum, the fluctuation is slightly small compared with the theoretical maximum, and all the change scope is basically consistent. The regional entropy value of energy R&D expenditure decreases makes the regional distribution curve of R&D expenditure the "trumpet" shape.
