  • Abstract
In order to learn more about the severe convective weather occurred over Chengdu on Sep. 23rd of 2008, it is simulated by utilizing three-dimension convective cloud model. The results show as follows. The model can simulate macroscopic characteristics of severe convective weather in major developing sections, as well as microscopic ones of evolution of hydrometeor particles in cloud rather well. The strong updraft and sufficient vapor are essential conditions for the developing convective cells. Accumulating and melting of solid hydrometeor particles are contributed to the precipitation distinctly.
