Abstract :
Two IH drift tube linacs (IH1 and IH2) will be part of the new high current injector of the GSI accelerator facility in Darmstadt (Germany). In order to shorten the cavity design period, numerical simulations using MAFIA, as well as rf model measurements were used to determine the dimensions of these linacs. In this paper we present results of the simulations and the measurements for IH1, which was the more complex structure
