Abstract
On the basis of postponed-set mortar (PSM) coating experiments, the visualized velocity and shear rate flow fields in screw channel were simulated and analyzed. The commercial finite element software POLYFLOW was employed to simulate the flow and deformation for PSM with Bingham liquid in screw channel at different screw revolutions and different screw geometry parameter. The simulative results verify the coating experiments and reveal the coating mechanism, and lay the theoretical foundation for the successive coating processes and structural optimization.
